As Ramayana: Part One approaches its November 5 release, attention is already turning to the second chapter. But there is one detail worth clearing up before treating any date as final: recent reports do not agree on when Ramayana: Part Two will arrive.
The Indian Express reported on October 30 that the second part’s release window had moved from Diwali 2027 to Diwali 2028. An NDTV Profit report published the same day, however, still described the second instalment as expected during Diwali 2027. Neither report provides a firm calendar date from the producers. Until the makers clarify the schedule, the safest description is that the sequel’s release window remains unconfirmed.
Why the second part matters
The first instalment is expected to establish the central characters and the world of the epic. The second part will continue that story, so the gap between releases could shape how audiences experience the project as a whole. For a story many viewers already know, the challenge is to make the two films feel like connected chapters rather than separate events.
What is confirmed about Part One?
Ramayana: Part One is scheduled to release worldwide on November 5, 2026. Nitesh Tiwari directs, with Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol and Ravie Dubey are also part of the principal cast.
The film is being mounted as a large-scale production, with Prime Focus Studios and DNEG among the companies involved. The makers have presented it as a two-part adaptation, but the exact timing of the follow-up needs a clear official update.
Does the reported delay mean the story or cast has changed?
Not on the basis of a release-window report alone. A changed date does not automatically mean a change in the story, cast or creative direction. Until the producers issue a detailed announcement, claims about reshoots, plot changes or production problems should be treated cautiously.
What to watch next
The immediate focus is on the response to Part One: how audiences react to the performances, visual effects and storytelling, and whether the film balances spectacle with emotion. More concrete information about Part Two’s schedule may become clearer after the first film reaches cinemas.
