Updated November 1, 2026

Salman Khan’s box-office career stretches across several generations of Hindi cinema. From Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and Wanted to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and the Tiger films, his biggest releases have often depended on festival timing, mass-market appeal and the strength of the opening weekend.

This guide collects the major titles and their reported earnings in one place. India net and worldwide gross are shown separately because they measure different things. The figures below are taken from Bollywood Hungama’s actor box-office trackers, checked in October 2026.

Film Worldwide gross
Bajrangi Bhaijaan ₹733.71 crore
Sultan ₹614.49 crore
Tiger Zinda Hai ₹564.20 crore

Bharat ₹325.58 crore
Race 3 ₹294.98 crore
Dabangg 3 ₹230.93 crore

Bajrangi Bhaijaan: a career-defining success

Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan combined a broad commercial appeal with an emotional story. Bollywood Hungama lists its India lifetime net at ₹320.34 crore and worldwide gross at ₹733.71 crore. The difference is not a discrepancy: the first number is a domestic net figure, while the second includes gross earnings across markets.

Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai delivered major holiday runs

Sultan opened strongly in 2016 and finished with ₹300.45 crore India net and ₹614.49 crore worldwide gross in the tracker. Tiger Zinda Hai followed in 2017, with ₹339.16 crore India net and ₹564.20 crore worldwide gross. Both films benefited from the scale of the franchise-style action spectacle and their release windows.

Tiger 3 opened big, but its lifetime total was lower than the previous film

Tiger 3 recorded a ₹44.50 crore opening day and ₹148.50 crore opening weekend in the India tracker. Its lifetime India net is listed at ₹285.52 crore, while worldwide gross is ₹466.63 crore. The strong opening did not translate into the same lifetime total as Tiger Zinda Hai.

Sikandar: opening versus lifetime performance

Sikandar opened on March 30, 2025. Bollywood Hungama lists its India lifetime net at ₹103.45 crore and worldwide gross at ₹176.17 crore, with a Disaster verdict in its India tracker. Its opening-day figure is ₹27.50 crore. This is a useful example of why opening-day headlines alone cannot describe a film’s final theatrical performance.

What is next for Salman Khan?

How to compare box-office figures

  • India net: Domestic ticket revenue after tax deductions.
  • India gross: Domestic ticket revenue before tax deductions.
  • Overseas gross: Ticket revenue from markets outside India.
  • Worldwide gross: India gross plus overseas gross, on a consistent basis.

Verdicts such as Hit, Average or Disaster are trade classifications and can vary between sources depending on budget, distribution terms and the methodology used. We attribute the verdicts to the tracker rather than presenting them as an official producer statement.
